During the 1920’s, Wilma worked in a cotton mill factory and accidently had her right index finger removed by one of the “machines”. Thereafter she had a most distinctive handwriting. She was a Sunday School teacher, and work in her Church’s nursery for years, and for many years was a Caregiver for seniors. Strict minded and serious, but knew humor and loved her family greatly.
Frank Newell Smith and Wilma Cleo Padgett had the three following children:
1.) Lecil Smith
2.) Arthur Smith
