Alice Snow (nee Smith)
married:
Alice Irene Smith was named after her mother’s grandmother: Selena Cora "Alice" Farmer; and her father’s mother: Maudine “Irene” Landford. Alice never knew her father as her birth parents were never married and he was not there. She was raised by her mother and her grandmother, Wilma was a constant presence in her life as well. Alice was raised attending a Southern Baptist Church and grew up to follow her mother’s example of working with children in the Nursery at church, and vacation Bible School during the summer. She loved the various pets she owned, hamsters and dogs mostly. Alice was a great home-cook and passed both loves on to her daughter and grandchildren. She was a stay-at-home mother who never formally worked outside the home. She had smoked for many years, developed diabetes, and after her heart attack gave up smoking. A year after her heart attack, and subsequent quadruple by-pass, she underwent a carotid artery surgery that caused a stroke and the paralysis of her left side. Though she struggled greatly with her health issues she remained the example of courage to her family in not giving up and ever concerned for others. David and Alice Snow were the parents of only one child, a daughter named:
David Snow
married:
David has one sibling:
a brother: Tracy Lee Snow
David was named after his great-grandfather, (John David Snow), and his grandfather, (DeLaine D. Townsend). David DeLaine Snow was raised in the religious group called Jehovah's Witnesses, (1969-82). In the summer of 1981 he met the sister of a friend, fell in love and then married Alice Smith; he later converted to the Southern Baptist denomination. July 22, 1982 David and Alice moved to Corpus Christi, Texas; his wife's hometown. On July 12, 1987 he was licensed as a Lay Baptist minister. Soon after acquiring his GED in '87 David began attending Del Mar Community College, and Howard Payne's seminary extension. David served as a Chaplain's Assistant in the Texas Army National Guard, (2nd/ 144st Inf; and 386th Eng Bn.), from 1990-98. After many disheartening encounters, David became disinterested with organized religion and soon began to follow a Neo-Pagan (Wiccan) path. In 2002 he and his wife moved to Dallas, Texas; after five years they moved north to the Lewisville community. By 2013 David returned to a faith in Jesus as the Christ.
For several years David Snow worked in the State School institutions, (19 years as of this writing); assisting individuals with profound intellectual and physical disabilities, as a direct care staff, then later as a supervisor of a Life Skills workshop area.
